Twitter for Dommes

Twitter for Dommes

Twitter is the most popular social media network for Dommes. It can be very beneficial to have a Twitter account with which to market yourself and keep in touch with other Dommes and various subs. I’ve compiled a list of what I found most helpful in my Twitter marketing journey.

1. Schedule Your Tweets with SocialPilot

My biggest Twitter strategy is to schedule many of my tweets in advance using SocialPilot. I love it so much, I even wrote an article about it. This eliminates the need for you to be on Twitter numerous times per day making tweets. Instead, you can simply check Twitter, at your leisure. This is perfect for Dommes who desire to keep up a high, active profile on Twitter while reducing the amount of work it takes to do so.

2. Set the Tone for Your FemDom Personality

Twitter is the perfect place for you to set the example of your FemDom personality. This may just entice subs to purchase your clips or a live cam session. Every tweet you write should be written from the perspective of your FemDom personality so you should show it off well, to let people know what you’re about.

3. Engage with Sites, Dommes & subs

Following other Dommes and websites you work on is another tool to keep in touch, keep up to date and to socialize. You may also want to also follow your dedicated subs. Other Dommes can inspire you and it’s amazing to connect with women in the same line of work as you. As well, some subs enjoy staying up to date with you on Twitter and you will likely find new subs. How you engage with them is, of course, entirely up to you and your FemDom personality. Many of my subs tell me they first found me on Twitter, for example.

4. Hashtag Appropriate Posts

Hashtag but never over hashtag is my general rule. On certain posts, you may want to tag things like #FemDom or #CEI or #SPH and other such things. Just be careful not to over do it, especially on a purely promotional post. It can start to be too much. Fun posts can include silly hashtags like #MyLifeIsTooPerfect. Just indulge in your FemDom personality and have fun with it.

5. Twitter FemDom Promoters

In every Domme’s Twitter life, she will be approached by a Twitter promoter. Many have a side agenda meaning that they want to promote you in exchange for something. This could be for free photos, free videos or any other service you offer. It is my best advice to never do this and to block anyone that asks this immediately.

Therefore, it is my pleasure to tell you that DommeSource has created its own Twitter promoter. Feel free to tag this for a re-tweet on anything you’d like!

@RTDoms

Who are other FemDom Twitter Promoters?

In my experience, these promoters do re-tweet, but they won’t re-tweet everything. So, you will have to keep track of who is re-tweeting and who isn’t very often and make necessary adjustments from there.

@womenruleonly, @RT_Slave, @FindomRTPromo, @RTsubby, @RTmutt, @RTdumb, @RTfucker, and @RTFeet

Of course, you don’t have to use a Twitter promoter. Some Dommes do, some Dommes don’t. My best advice is to always try it and see how it works for you, unless you feel totally against it.

6. Participate in Twitter Happenings

Keep an eye out for Twitter happenings that relate to what you do as an online female dominatrix. For example, IWantClips hosts Fetish Fridays, each Friday. This would be a good opportunity to tag them in one of your fetish themed tweets on Friday with the hashtag #FetishFriday.

7. Stick with your Twitter Plan

If you decide to keep one Twitter, it’s usually best to keep a balance between fun, personality-driven posts and your promotional ones.

However, there has been a growing trend of Dommes that have 2 Twitter accounts. That is, 1 for promotional purposes and 1 that subs pay to have access to. In these cases, usually more personality driven posts are given to the paid one.

Of course, it may go without saying but always make a tweet for your new clip releases and when you’re live on cam!
