Video Editing
One of the most crucial things for selling FemDom clips is to edit clips so they look as professional as possible. There are many different video editing programs that an Artist can use to make videos look the best that they can.
This article will go through the basics of what to do for each video and how to do it. Most programs function relatively the same; some just have more functionality than others.
Choosing a Video Editor
There are a few things to keep in mind for choosing a video editor.
Program Compatibility
Make sure that the program that is used is compatible with the Operating System that the Artist has. One may or may not be friendly with the two major operating systems: Windows and Mac.
Computer Specifications
Another thing to keep in mind are computer specifications. Video editing is generally very stressful on computers and require a higher benchmark on hardware. This is especially true for computer memory, CPU, and GPU.
Program Cost
If the Artist is on a budget, they may want to look into programs that are free to use or have a low one time fee. There are some that have monthly fee’s, so it can become pricey very quickly.
Finally, look and see if any of the companies are offering a free trial of their programs. This will give the Artist a great feel for how the program runs and acts and if it’s the right fit for them to use or not.
Video Editing
If the video is just a basic video, meaning that there’s no special effects or anything “fancy”, it’s usually a pretty straight forward process, as follows:
Drag the video files into the editing pane.
This should be done in the order of how the Artist wants. For example, if the Artist has an intro and exit scene, they would want to drag the intro first, then the filmed video, and then the exit scenes.
Drag the watermark into the editing pane.
Drag and drop the watermark and stretch it out to cover the entire video.
Edit the Clip
At this point, the Artist can cut out pieces that they don’t want and add any filters or video/audio effects.
Audio/Video Filters & Effects
There are many options in the editing process. A couple I’ve highlighted are below.
Fade In/Outs
Fade In/Outs are especially useful after the intro and right before the Artist’s outro along with any switches in video.
Filters
The Artist can also add filters to make the video and audio quality better. Keep in mind, however, that the more filters that are applied, the longer the video will take to export. In these cases, having a higher end computer is best. An excellent filter program is Red Giant’s Magic Bullet. It is a little pricey, but does wonders for video filters. They have many varieties of packages to choose from and works with most major Video Editor.
Conclusion
Video editing can be as involved as the Artist want it to be. It is usually best to spend some time to figure out what works best for them. Some Dommes enjoy the process and put a lot of time into mesmerized clips, for example. The possibilities really are endless on what an Artist can do! Have fun with it and see what fun and exciting ways that can edit videos!
