What is Split Camming?

Split camming means that you are online (and usually broadcasting live) on more than one website at the same time.

Why split cam?

More Money

Split camming gives you the potential to earn more money because you are being broadcast on more than one cam site at the same time and you are thus more likely to encounter more subs who may tribute or serve you on a regular basis.

More Choices

Split camming gives you the opportunity to seamlessly switch sites if one site is not working from technical issues or if there just aren’t any good subs on. In theory, split camming should help prevent slow nights because if one site isn’t working, you can switch focus to another. It’s like having multiple tools to pick from.

More Familiarity

Split camming gives you hands-on knowledge and experience as a Domme with multiple cam sites. This in and of itself can be extremely useful to you in your FemDom camming career because you can more quickly ascertain which cam sites you like or do not like because of traffic or certain features.

Why not split cam?

More Work

As split camming may imply, it is much more work to manage multiple sites instead of only focusing on one.

You’ll have to:

• Keep track of multiple conversations, simultaneously.
• Switch to a different chat mode or disconnect entirely, once you being a show or private on one of the sites you’re on.

More Technology

In order to split cam, it is best to have a really strong computer with high speed internet. Otherwise, it may be too difficult on your computer to run more than one site at once.

More Awareness

Of course, cam models should be aware of each site rules in general but this is especially true if you want to split cam. Keep in mind that there are many cam sites that do not allow split camming, as it is against their rules. So, absolutely make sure split camming is allowed before you do it, otherwise you can risk your account on that cam site.

I’m convinced! How do I split cam?

Well, for starters, you need an effective screen. On one monitor, you can usually have up to 4 sites being viewed at the same time. It would look something like this:

You can also decide to run two sites and just split your screen in half, for example, or any other combination.

What do I actually use to split cam?

If you have ever tried split camming before, you may have noticed your webcam won’t actually let you broadcast on more than one site at once. It will say something like your webcam is already in use.

How do I pay attention to 2-4 sites at once? What’s the trick?

My personal trick was to select sites that “mesh” well together for my particular camming style. Remember to ensure split camming is allowed if you try to have more than one live broadcast going at the same time.

Most private based FemDom friendly cam sites do not allow your live broadcast to be on other cam sites at the same time. Therefore, cam sites that don’t have a free chat really come in handy! This way, you are not breaking any rules and can disconnect on a live broadcast whenever you get a show on one.

My personal strategy is to live broadcast on Streamate and then use other sites that do not have a free chat so I am not breaking any rules.

How do I find sites to split with?

There are so many FemDom friendly camming sites to choose from, it will keep you busy for a long while trying out all the various cam sites.

These are all safe, established cam sites that are not studios or white labels and that have at least a dedicated section for fetish and/or BDSM cam shows. Final thoughts on Split Camming

As with everything in this industry, there really isn’t a magical formula to split camming. What works for you will probably be different than what will work for another Domme.

Remember, too, it may take some trial and error but you will eventually find your flow and it will become more seamless. Or, you will discover you hate split camming and decide to focus on just one site. Either way, it will count towards getting to better know yourself as an online dominatrix.
